In this class you will be part of an ensemble. The most import requirements for being in Introduction to Musical Theatre are having a positive attitude, a desire to learn and perform the elements of musical theatre (acting, dancing, and singing) and attending class every day - each rehearsal. This is a participation class. There is no way to make up a missed rehearsal or performance.

Introduction to Musical Theatre does not require an audition to sign up and take the class. Mr. Walden will have each student sing some scales to get an idea of the student's vocal range and voice part. Students do not need to prepare anything for this voice placement.
Everyone needs to have a three-ring binder. 1" binders at Walmart are very inexpensive. A 1/2-inch binder will probably work just as well and take up less space in your backpack. Bring a composition notebook for taking notes and a pencil for music rehearsals.
