Professional Experience

This is Mr. Walden's tenth year teaching at FALA (seventh on regular faculty after three years as a volunteer teacher). He has been a professional teacher and coach for over 25 years teaching private lessons in singing, figure skating, and life skills in New York City and Flagstaff. Mr. Walden was a professional singer/actor/dancer in New York City working on stage, daytime and primetime television and feature films. Favorite roles include Jesus in Godspell, Clifford in Deathtrap, George in George M! and dancing Steam Heat in Pajama Game.

Personal Interests

Mr. Walden is a composer, choral arranger, tap dancer, choreographer, vocal coach and figure skating coach. He danced in Canyon Movement Company's Nutcracker in Modern Bare Feet for ten years and has choreographed and directed parts of that production. As an adult figure skater Mr. Walden has won national and international championships in ice dancing and free style.
