Last school year I wrote a post about the app, Peergrade.io, that I was using for peer assessment. I am continuing to use the app this year but it is so much improved. Peergrade is now integrated with Google Classroom. It is easier for the students to use. Additionally, another feature has been added, Live Sessions. Students can upload their work and begin giving anonymous feed back immediately! All you have to do is set up the live session and input your rubric and you are good to go! I love live sessions and have used it many times over the last few months.
Another cool feature is that students can give feedback on the feedback that they receive and the teacher gets all of this information in a report! The reports generated by Peergrade provide the teacher with insight into the kind of feedback students leave for each other, the amount of time they spent constructing feedback, which parts of the assignment students struggled with, and much more. And this is all free!
