Our second graders became scientists and engineers as they explored the properties of liquids and solids by building their own ice towers! Using frozen blocks and a special "ice glue," students experimented with how water changes state and how solids can be used to construct sturdy structures. Through hands-on discovery, they learned about freezing, melting, and the science behind strong designs. Check out the photos to see their frosty creations in action!
Our second graders explored the fascinating ways seeds travel by creating their own clay seed models in the Makerspace! As part of their science unit, students learned how seeds use wind, water, animals, and even bursting pods to spread and grow. Using clay, they designed and shaped different types of seeds, thinking about their textures, shapes, and movement. Check out the photos to see their creative seed models in action!
