We understand how overwhelming it can feel to find a stray, but don’t worry—you’re not alone. Fishy’s Friends Rescue is proud to be your first resource in navigating this journey, but there are many other wonderful tools and organizations out there to help. Many other platforms provide similar resources to connect you with the right help for strays in your area.

The need for fosters is urgent. Without approved fosters, we cannot take in more strays. If you or someone you know can open your home to a dog in need, please apply HERE. Together, we can make a life-saving difference and give these animals the futures they deserve.

As a foster-based rescue, our ability to save strays depends entirely on the incredible support of fosters. We provide all the necessary supplies and vet care, while our fosters provide the love, transportation to vet appointments, and communication with the rescue. Fostering is an emotional and rewarding journey that saves lives—and it’s something anyone can do. Our fosters are full-time workers, students, parents, and more. Despite their busy lives, they find room in their hearts and homes to give a stray a second chance.

Our Focus

At Fishy’s Friends Rescue, our mission centers on providing housing assistance for stray, feral, dumped, and left-behind animals in the Comanche County area. As a foster-based rescue, our ability to help depends on open foster homes. For strays within city limits, we can step in once city stray hold requirements are met and all efforts to locate an owner have been exhausted. In county or rural areas, we can take in any stray, provided we have an open foster available. If you’re able to help, please fill out our foster application and join our network of approved fosters. Fostering with us is completely free—Fishy’s Friends provides all vet care and supplies, and you provide the love and safe haven, transportation to veterinarian appointments, and communication with the rescue. Together, we can change the lives of these homeless animals.
