Foster Supplies

At Fishy’s Friends Rescue, we believe in making fostering as easy and rewarding as possible. That’s why we handle all the heavy lifting — from veterinary care and supplies to marketing and finding forever homes. We simply ask our fosters to provide love, open communication, and transportation to vet appointments and adoption events.

As a donation-based organization, we rely entirely on the support of our community. This means we do our best to be thoughtful with our resources while still ensuring every foster dog has what they need to thrive. We provide all essential supplies, including:

• Food (and food bowls)

• Crates, playpens, and other containment needs

• Bedding and blankets for comfort

• Leashes and collars

• Toys and enrichment (based on availability)

• Parasite prevention (flea/tick and heartworm prevention)

• Any necessary medication or vet-prescribed supplements

In special cases, we may be able to provide additional items like no-pull harnesses or behavioral aids for dogs with specific needs. We also offer a calming chew prescribed by our vet for dogs who are hyperactive or sensitive to crates, at adoption events.

Supply Pick-Up Details:

Supplies are available for pick-up on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 5:30–6:30 PM at our storage unit:

Please note, fosters are expected to attend these pick-up times. We are all Volunteers and have full personal lives so please plan accordingly and mark your calendars. 

Foster Supply Forms:

We use two simple forms to help keep our inventory organized and your foster pup well-equipped:

1. Foster Intake Supply Form (CLICK HERE)
   To be completed when receiving a new foster. Please check off all items given at intake so we can accurately track supplies.

2. Supply Reorder Request Form (CLICK HERE)
   Use this form when your foster needs refills or replacement items (such as food, parasite prevention, etc.).
   All requests must be submitted no later than the Tuesday prior to the upcoming pick-up day to ensure your items are packed and ready.
