Action Steps
Phase 1:
Seek Board of Trustees approval of the proposed approach and select a facilitator
Create a stakeholder team of students, parents, board members, staff, faculty and admin tasked with examining the school culture and student experiences
Research and write a summary document of how other benchmark and CIE schools approach work on diversity, equity, inclusion and justice
Research and select a tool for initial data collection from students, parents, faculty/staff and alumni
Develop an evidence-based understanding of our current climate relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Plan next steps for further investigation and action, which may include focus groups, use of consultants, professional development, and partnerships
Determine a timescale for the above that identifies priority actions and longer term considerations
