Define a whole school Coaching Initiative with both External Consultant and Internal (peer-peer) coaching models.
Engage in leadership coaching through external consultant and strengths finder coaching model (Level 1)
Engage in internal peer-peer coaching with consultant support (Level 2)
Coach colleagues in areas of expertise (Level 3)
Invite divisional cohorts to participate in Level 1-3 coaching (divisional team leaders, counselors, future leaders, department heads)
Appoint a digital learning coach to develop on-line courses and coach for excellence in DLP delivery (K. Ralf)
Explore a coaching option in lieu of the existing professional growth and evaluation process
Employ external consultants for subject specific coaching for defined projects for FIS community members:
- Beth Skelton on languages
- Julie Stern on humanities
- Paul Andersen on science
- Elizabeth Schroeder on a comprehensive sexuality curriculum and EJB
- Amit Sood for social and emotional learning
Continue with subject specific coaching by FIS employed coaches in the PS/ES (Sarika Sharma-math) and FISW (Gareth Rose-math/Ashley Hopper-science)
Continue with pedagogical coaching by FIS employed coaches (Tony Winch/Robin Neal) in the Upper School
Support ICT coordinators in gaining coaching skills and status
Develop FIS community members (parents, alumni, peers) as student support coaches for subject areas (eg. math tutoring) and/or learning events (e.g. PYPX).
