About the show: The performances will be in a staged-reading format with some limited memorization, props, and movement required. The Pie Ladies is a comedic story about a group of ladies who get together each year and make dozens of pies for the annual church supper. But as they busily bake pies, they decide to create their own country. Unfortunately, this conversation happens in front of the pastor, a potential choir director, and a newspaper reporter. While protecting the flag of their new country, an incident occurs which lands them in jail. They are bailed out, but now they owe a lot, and they create an innovative way to raise the money.
Rehearsals will be limited, since it is a staged reading, and will mostly occur on scheduled Monday evenings from September 21st thru November 9th, with a final rehearsal November 12th. The two performances are:
Friday November 13, 2026 at 6:30pm
Saturday November 14, 2026 at 1:00pm
All rehearsals and performances will be held in Richardson Hall, 551 Farragut Circle, El Cajon, CA 92020.
