FiredUp is an all-volunteer organization!
While FiredUp has a core board of directors, we're volunteers too. We have jobs and kids and are living through fire season along with you! We rely on volunteer efforts to help us achieve our mission of improving the lives of wildland families.
Check below for some of the volunteer opportunities we're currently recruiting for. Don't see something you can do but still want to help out? Email us at info@fireduppartners.org
For all our volunteer opportunities, you won't be left on your own! We'll be available to answer any of your questions along the way.
Current Volunteer Priorities
We are urgently looking to connect with people who live in California's Congressional District 1 and Alabama's District 4 to help us with a number of actions. If this is you, please reach out directly!
Contacting candidates to complete our survey
FiredUp wants to make sure the people going to DC actually represent and support wildland families. We've developed a candidate survey to help us but it needs to get into the hands of campaign managers. We need your help to distribute it to your local candidates!
Designing a new logo
Fired Up is in search of a new logo. We're looking for a graphic designer within our fire family to bring our branding image to life.
Policy advisors
We work heavily with federal policy and proposed federal legislation. If you have public policy experience you'd like to share, we have opportunities for policy advisors to help us weigh in on ongoing policy and proposed changes.
Writing op-eds
Want to help raise public awareness of the critical work wildland firefighters are doing and the urgent need for compensation reform? We need op-ed writers to do just that!
Creating social media content
We're looking for a few people to help us be more consistent with our social media presence. Content creation is a huge job and we'd love to share it with you.
Interested in one of the opportunities listed above? Or have some other way you know you could help?
