✨Congratulations✨ on finishing your B1.1 Finnish Language Program. In this article, we will show you how to:
Look up your test results
Compare and select suitable schools
Apply for your dream schools
Prepare and submit the required documents
After qualifying for the B1.1 Finnish Level, now it’s time to choose your study programs and apply for your dream schools before getting the verification from the school’s principal.
All national high schools open their General Intake from 21st February until 21st March at 15.00 PM Finland Time, so be well-prepared and apply during this time. After the General Intake, another Rolling Intake for students may happen at the end of May, depending on the schools.
This is one of the most important steps in the application process.
As each student has up to 7 options of school/study line to register, before applying to the Finland Portal, applicants should consider carefully which schools and study lines they want to apply to based on different factors, such as location, distance, studying, etc.
A list of schools’ information and requirements for you to research and compare can be found HERE. In these documents, you will be able to compare criteria, study lines, facilities, distance, etc.
We recommend you download THIS TEMPLATE to support you in tracking your decision while browsing options.
P.S: every school has different study lines, and each study line will be counted as 1 option. So if you choose 2 study lines from the same school, it will take up 2 out of 7 options.
By the end of this step, please make sure that you have:
Looked through the list of school information and their requirements.
Selected 7 schools/study lines based on your preferences and suitability for the school’s criteria. Only list down schools/study lines that you actually want to apply for.
Arranged them in order of priority, no.1 being your first choice, and no. 7 your last choice. Also noted down the study line and school both in Finnish and English, as it will be important later on.
Here’s where you access Opintopolku, a Finland national high school application platform, to fill in your information and selected schools.
Please be noted that you can only apply once it is 22nd February.
