KENT INTERMMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT (KISD)
The Kent Career Tech Center (KCTC), located at 1655 East Beltline NE (north of Leonard) is an educational service of the Kent Intermediate School District that enrolls more than 2,500 students from over 60 public and private high schools each year. The Center provides junior and senior high school students with quality training in over 30 career and technical programs including core technical training, academic integration and alignments with postsecondary education. Upon completion of their training, counselors and work-based learning coordinators assist students in finding employment and in exploring further educational opportunities
MySchool@Kent is a combination of interesting, new ways of learning, with the best part of school - the caring relationships. Our programs include online instruction and projects, along with just-in-time learning, peer collaboration, one-on-one learning when needed and face-to-face support. But MySchool@Kent isn’t just one option for local students!
Launch U is an early middle college program from the Kent Intermediate School District and GRCC. Launch U starts in a student's 10th grade year. Our students attend high school classes at their regular high school or online for a portion of the day, and attend college courses at Kent ISD during grades 10-12. These college courses are taught by GRCC instructors. During the 13th year, students attend college courses full time on GRCC's campus.
