Instructions for students and parents:
Students will check in at the welcome desk to sign in.
Check in with the outside monitor of the audition room 10 minutes before scheduled time. Students must audition at the assigned time as we have a tight schedule with many students doing multiple events. Judge, monitor, student, and accompanist only, no parents.
Dress code is recital attire.
Please bring the following:
a) Schedule - list of events, classes, room number, and time
b) Your music clean of markings with bars numbered at the beginning of each line.
Both pieces should be open and stacked in order of performance (first piece on top).
c) For theory exam, students should bring two sharpened pencils with erasers and a clipboard.
Only theory test takers will be allowed in the theory room. *
All music used by students, accompanists and judges must be the original published score. NO photocopied or hand copied music is allowed. It will be helpful to attach a "Post-It" note to inside front cover of your music with your name (or teacher’s name) and phone / email. If music is a "digital score": a proof of purchase or receipt must be available for the judge. (Failure to provide documentation for EACH PAGE of the download will result in DISQUALIFICATION.)
REMINDER: All cellphones MUST be turned off. No photography, video or audio recording is allowed in the audition rooms. No food or drinks allowed in audition rooms.
Students, parents and teachers are not permitted to talk to the judges before, during or after festival. Doing so may result in the student being disqualified. Please direct your questions to the monitor and/or Festival officials.
Judges’ decisions are final.
