There is no age requirement for formally tiering students through the MTSS process, however given the wide variation of typical development, paired with a limited amount of formal education, few kindergarten students will be identified as Tier 2/3 students. We want to ensure our students are receiving ample educational opportunity before we determine they present with deficits.
