The Campus Intervention Team may vary from school to school based on size and resources. The CIT has three purposes:
1. Review school-wide data in order to evaluate the progress of students in core programs
2. Screen and identify students in need of additional support
3. Plan and design implementation of interventions and evaluate progress monitoring data of students receiving interventions

Communicate understandable common message to participants and the public

Coordinate consistent, district-wide research and evidence-based instruction/curriculum/intervention/extension

Campus - Instructional Staff & Campus Intervention Team (CIT)
Provide research and evidence based instruction/curriculum/intervention/extension
Differentiate levels of instruction
Initiate & maintain fidelity of instruction, assessment, intervention and extension
Evaluate students for placement in tiers for instruction and develop Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and supports to meet student needs
Establish performance goals for the student in the targeted area(s)
Develop a plan that details specific interventions to address the goals and determine how the student's progress will be monitored
Monitor/assess/document data and student progress in Branching Minds
Communicate and collaborate with all appropriate stakeholders
Monitor progress according to the district established timelines
Problem-solve with principal regarding case-by-case questions as they arise
Principal/Assistant Principal (or principal designee)
Schedule and delegate responsibilities
Communicate to teachers, families, participants
Support implementation
Provide and facilitate professional development/resources with district support

Ensure a yearlong CIT calendar is in place by August
Problem-solve with Instructional staff & CIT regarding case-by-case questions as they arise
Counselor
Serve as CIT Chair
Schedule CIT Meetings and create Google Calendar invites
Facilitate meetings
Maintain record keeping in Branching Minds
Input data into software
Send parent notification letter (MTSS Parent Notification Letter)
Support teachers with behavior concerns and interventions
Determine special assignments
Attend trainings and district meetings
Complete required forms
Classroom Teacher
Provide high-quality core instruction and differentiated instruction for students with fidelity
Participate in PLC team meetings as well as CIT meetings to analyze student performance, discuss assessment data, identify student needs, set target goals and develop interventions
Monitor all “at-risk” students
Implement specific scientific research-based interventions
Maintain ongoing progress monitoring data/documentation in Branching Minds, work samples and anecdotal notes
Refer student for CIT meeting
Document CIT decisions
Communicate with parent regarding student concerns
Special Education Teacher
Provide CIT with information regarding methodology for providing instructional and/or behavioral interventions that can be implemented in the general education classroom
English Learner (EL) Representative
Attend meetings for identified EL students
Ensure that language acquisition is NOT the basis for disability referrals
Specialist (Diagnostician, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, Speech Path)
Attend CIT meeting as requested
Provide instructional recommendations, strategies and supports from area of expertise
Nurse
Conduct vision/hearing screening
Provide health related data to CIT as needed
Serve as a resource regarding health services/or health issues
Family
Be an active participant in the meetings
Be involved in the data sharing and decision-making
Support their child at home with any interventions that have a home component
Ask questions, express concerns, and offer suggestions
