What is the Summer Experience?
The Class of 2026 Summer Experience will focus on preparing incoming 9th grade students for success in high school. Students will have opportunities to earn swag, have field experiences, meet their peers, and so much more. They will have opportunities to engage in a variety of activities and games while also working on essential academic and non-academic skills needed to be successful in 9th grade and beyond. Below you can find out more information about sessions at each school and programs.

For students interested in expanding their world view beyond the confines of the St. Louis area.
We’ll be reading and learning more about different cultures from around the world.
We’re also going to experiment tasting different foods from around the world.
We’ll play games and do collaborative activities in this session as well.
If you are into art, music, technology, this is for you!
You will have opportunities to learn about some of the most impactful creative people today and throughout history.
You will be able to create your own work through TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, art, graphic design, murals, and more.
We will also incorporate music and give you the opportunity to make your own music.
This is a good chance to help shape the culture of your school experience.

For students interested in learning more about activism and discovery.
We’ll be reading and discovering more about local activism in our community, in St. Louis, and beyond.
We’ll try to connect with local activists so we can learn how to make changes that you are passionate about.
We are going to try and set up different scavenger hunts so you can work together and get to know our school and each other.
If you want to make a difference in this world, we are going to learn from those who did it and are doing it right now.
Good for students who like to be active and want to compete
We’ll be getting to know various athletes, designing our own games and activities.
We’ll be competing against one another in games and will hopefully setup games for staff v. students.
This will be a good way for you to get involved before the school year even starts.
We are always looking for students to participate in sports and our other extra curricular activities so this will help you get to know different sports as we read and learn more about them.
