The bookmarks bar on Chrome gives you one-click access to the web pages that you use the most. Any web page can be added to this bar including Arbor, Google Classroom, Mail and Calendar, and any online file such as a shared Sheets file.
If you enable syncing, then this gets even more useful: your bookmarks bar will appear on every device on which you have enabled it. Google will also synchronise saved passwords, so you do have to be mindful of security (for example, do not enable it on an account to which other people have access).

Here is a picture of part of my bookmarks bar: I have one click access to my calendar, Drive, mail, Classroom and Arbor. I also have a folder called "main" in which I have collected links to documents on Google Drive that I need to open often.
First, click the dots next to the circle - this should be at the top right of your Chrome window.
Next, click on the arrow next to where it says "Bookmarks".
Step 3 is to click where is says "Show Bookmarks Bar" in the menu that pops up after doing Step 2.
Once you do this, a new row appears underneath Chrome's address bar.
Once you have enabled your bar, you can click on the address of the page you are viewing and drag the highlighted text to the bar.
Another, perhaps easier way, is to repeat Steps 1 and 2 and click on "Bookmark This Tab" (Step 4).
Once you have a bookmark you can tidy it up.
If you right click on it, and select edit (Step 5). You can then change the name of the bookmark.
If you select "Bookmark Manager" from the menu you get from Steps 1 and 2 you can further organise your bookmarks into folders (Step 6).
To turn on Sync, click on the circle with you initial in the top right of the Chrome window and select "Turn on Sync".
You will be asked to sign in again.
Follow the dialogues and wherever you sign in, you will see your bookmarks.
Never leave yourself signed in on public computers or in user accounts that others have access to.
