Competitions are an integral part of the Engineering Academy. Competitions develop many critical skills for success including leadership, perseverance, problem solving, professionalism and discipline. We compete in local, regional and national competitions. Current and past events include SMUD Solar Car and Solar Regatta (Boat Race), Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams, Tic Tac Toe Manufacturing Competition, Combat Robotics (Ant Class), SRBX CREATE Mentor Program, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, and SkillsUSA Conferences. We are always looking for ways to apply what we have learned in class in a real world context.
