Royal Elementary Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Royal Elementary School Counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program that addresses the personal/social, academic, and career needs of all students. The Counselor advocates and provides support to maximize student potential and help students achieve academic success. The Royal school counseling program will foster lifelong learning experiences that promote student growth, self-awareness, and an appreciation for diversity. By collaborating with other educators, parents/guardians, and community members, the school counselor will facilitate support systems to assure that all students have equal access to educational opportunities.

The goals of the school counseling program are to:
Identify what students need to know and be able to do in three domain areas: academic, career, and personal/social.
Promote growth, self-awareness, appreciation of diversity, and a love of learning among students.
Assist in creating a safe and responsive school environment.
Build a working relationship with educational stakeholders to impart success and meet needs of all students.
Identify and address barriers that impeded academic success of students.
