My name is Kalan Hoskins and I am the School Counselor at Royal Elementary School. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from East Carolina University. I furthered my training and education by becoming a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I began working as a school counselor in 2001 and I joined Franklin County Schools and Royal Elementary School in 2018.

My name is Kelly Young and I am the School Nurse. I grew up in Wake Forest, NC. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I relocated to the area in 2021 from Boone, NC to be closer to family. I became a Nationally Certified School Nurse in 2020. I love watching my children enjoy the magic of childhood, hiking, and building a backyard homestead with my husband. I serve both Royal Elementary School and Franklinton Middle School.
