Senior End of Year Academic and Behavioral Expectations

Senior End-of-Year Academic & Behavioral Expectations

1.    We expect students to remain fully engaged in the school program through Thursday, May 22, 2025, the last day of instruction for seniors.  Any senior in danger of failing should make the successful completion of his/her academic program a top priority.

2.    You are advised that absences from school for social reasons and “senior skip days” are inappropriate and will result in unexcused absences and consequences for truancy.  On any day that the senior attendance is unusually low we may verify absences with parents and/or require a doctor’s note before coding the absence as lawful.

3.    Seniors should avoid any involvement in senior “pranks,” especially those that result in vandalism of school property or disruption of classes.  The consequences of inappropriate behavior, at any time, particularly where it is damaging or disruptive, will include suspension from school, removal from final exams, and removal from participation in the graduation ceremonies.

4.    In addition to posing serious threats to safety, involvement with alcohol or other drugs is against the law for all seniors, and is against school rules under all circumstances.  Suspensions from school are mandated regardless of what activities are affected, thus a suspension anytime in the last 5 days of the school year for seniors shall include exclusion from the graduation ceremonies.
