Dress Code For Graduation Ceremonies

The following guidelines must be followed for both the Salute to Seniors Program and Graduation:

General Information – All Students

·         Cap, gown and tassel – No decoration or jewelry attached to cap, gown, or tassel

·         Appropriate shoes (no sandals, sneakers, boots, flip-flops, or other “play” shoes, etc.)

·         No chewing gum

·         No sunglasses

·         Jewelry must be tasteful

Option 1

·         Long dress pants -- No jeans, etc.

·         Dress shirt

·         Tie

Option 2

·         An appropriate dress, skirt and top, or slacks and top

Stoles, honor cords and medals bestowed by FCPS or the State of Maryland may be worn.  Those bestowed by outside (non-FCPS) organizations may be worn at the Salute to Seniors Program, but may NOT be worn at Graduation.
