Welcome to the Teacher Academy of Maryland, otherwise known as TAM! This site has the answers to many of your questions about our program, both for the 1st and 2nd year experience.
TAM: Overview
TAM is a year and a half program designed for students who are interested in employment in the broad field of education. Students take three classes and complete a semester-long teaching internship in any grade from K-11th. Due to the accelerated level of rigor in the program, students are eligible to earn both weighted and college credit as successful TAM completers. Through focused study, discussion and projects, field trips, interaction with guest speakers, and consistent teaching experience, TAM students broaden their knowledge of pedagogy and discover the joy of teaching. Our motto in TAM is #FindYourHappy! Come join us.
