The following links provide extra resources to teachers, students, and visitors. These resources help to further explain and define water quality in Frederick County and in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

Frederick County is one of the most geologically diverse counties in the state of MD. Sedimentary rocks like limestone and conglomerate dominate the valley while metamorphic quartzites and metabasalts can be found on the mountains.
