I'm Diane Herndon, instructor of the Environmental Landscape Design & Management Program, Advanced Floral Design and Dual Enrollment AgriBusiness. From 2005-2010, I taught horticulture, ag science and forestry/wildlife at Catoctin High School. In 2010, I transferred to the Tech Center after Carroll Shry retired. I graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science in Agricultural Education and continue to pursue relevant coursework through several colleges and universities.

Instructor Bio:
Diane Herndon, Instructor of the Environmental Landscape Design & Management Program, Advanced Floral Design and Ag Business/Entrepreneurship. From 2005-2010, I taught horticulture, ag science and forestry/wildlife at Catoctin High School. I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and continue to pursue relevant graduate coursework. In 2005, I earned my Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH) and became a Maryland Pesticide Applicator in 2006 with a demonstration license. In December 2017, I obtained my National Board Certification.
I am currently serving as co-advisor of the CTC FFA Chapter and advisor of the CTC NTHS Chapter. In addition to these school based organizations, I am a member and president-elect of the Maryland Ag Teachers Association. I am also a member of the the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) and recently attended the XLR8 Professional Development conference.
