Why take Ag Business and Entrepreneurship at CTC?
Students will have unique opportunities to develop business and marketing plans for an agricultural business. Some opportunities include selling honey through an FFA SAE Project, and school-based enterprises that include: fundraiser dinners and plant sales. The experiences complement students work in the apiary (bee hives), working with culinary, plant sales including poinsettia sales and spring plant sales, and working with the Landscaping Program for plant productions.
Through grant funding from the Maryland Agriculture Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund, in partnership with Frederick Community College, and the Career and Technology Center will be offering BGMT109 - Entrepreneurship (Dual Enrollment), BGMT140 - Intro to Ag Business (Dual Enrollment). New in 2022, we enhanced our offerings to make Ag Business an additional completer pathway.
