Dear Catoctin Community,
The end of the 2021-2022 school year is upon us ….. I would suggest that it was another memorable year in many ways. This newsletter depicts some of the highlights of the year, although there were highlights of learning and connections that happened every day and that are not easily captured in a picture. I am thankful for the big events that make Catoctin High School such a special place, but I am also equally thankful for the important work that happens with one student at a time every day. Thank you to our parents and community for your support of our school and our students and thank you to our entire staff for their commitment to Catoctin High School.
Although we are just wrapping up the last days of this year, we already have a lot planned for the 2022-2023 school year. Please continue to look for Find Out First messages throughout the summer – we will rely upon that as our main mode of communication and will be sending out important details related to the next school year. I have noted a few important dates below that I encourage you to mark on your calendar now (as they will be here before we know it):
August 8 – Schedules visible in Schoology
August 10 – Fall Sports Begin
August 11 – Back to School Night
3:30 pm – Q & A Session for 9th graders and their parents/guardians
4:00 – 6:00 pm – Open House
Look for more details to come - including the presence of food trucks that evening!
August 17 – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
I send my best wishes to every family for a safe, enjoyable summer that affords you a break from the school-year routines and some time to re-energize. It has been my sincere pleasure to serve as principal of Catoctin High School and I look forward to continuing our work together next year.
Go Cougars!
Jen Clements
Principal
