Our programs

The High School Team consists of two groups – novice and varsity (separated into male and female boats for competition).

-The novice team members are in their first year of racing. They practice with and race against other novice teams.

-The varsity team consists of rowers who are in at least their second year of racing and provides a more competitive training atmosphere as rowers work on technique and strength.

Practices are Monday-Thursday afternoons & Saturday morning. Regardless of weather conditions, practices are held. When we can not get out onto the river, there is land training.

This program, which will be coached by FCC coaches, currently has a summer, fall, and winter season. The goal of the program is to introduce students to healthy athletic conditioning while they develop excellent rowing skills and technique appropriate for this younger age group with smaller body size. Our hope is to develop a cohesive and competitive team.

During the fall, practices are held on two weekday evenings & Saturday morning. Regardless of weather conditions, practices are held. When we can not get out onto the river, there is dry land training.

Anyone 19 or older may sign-up. As with any fitness class, please be conscious of what your body is capable of. That being said, you do not need to be an athlete to participate.

Adult Sessions are offered on the water during the summer and fall, with our winter session being held indoors. All sessions include focus on developing proper technique, while also incorporating some core and strength/mobility work to help facilitate the rowing stroke.

The summer rowing program is open to just about anyone! We have Youth Learn-to-Row camps for new athletes, a development program for our middle school athletes, and a experienced program for our high school rowers looking to focus on technique and strength training.

We also offer adult sessions, which are open to anyone 19+, whether you have experience or not. This is a great way for parents new to the sport to gain some understanding of what their athletes are doing during their practices!
