Late bus starts this Monday. The late bus leaves the secondary campus at 4:45 and is for students who have after-school activities such as clubs and practices. There aren't as many buses or stops for the late bus. Be sure to check to see where's the closet stop for your student.
We have heard from some in our community that the date of this year’s Homecoming festivities presents an inconvenience for families. However, after a careful review and soliciting feedback from various important stakeholders, there will be no change to the originally scheduled date for Homecoming. The annual student “court” will be celebrated at the football game on Friday, October 25 and the annual dance will take place on Saturday, October 26.
The date for Homecoming is set every year in the spring, after the release of the regular football schedule, in collaboration with the high school athletics department, school administration, and Student Council leadership. This traditional event is typically held toward the end of the football season, to celebrate the “homecoming” of former players and alumni. During the school week, student activities such as pep rallies and friendly competitions are held to rally school spirit. The weekend also features a schoolwide dance, held at the high school.
Homecoming is an exciting high school tradition and we look forward to celebrating with all who can join.
