As we put a bow on Week 3 (and closed the books on Back to School Night at the secondary campus), we’ve now each had the opportunity to have some really positive interactions with parents and families and we’re feeling a lot of good energy about the start of this school year!

We’ve also heard some really positive feedback about the start of the year from our primary client base: Our students. At the high school, Peter had a chat with a group of juniors this week prepping for a summative assessment. He jokingly said to them, “Summative already? Does it feel early to you?” And their response was telling: “It’s fine. We’re totally prepared so we’re not worried.”

That is a testament to the engine of FCCPS: Our amazing teachers. So that by week 3 of the year, as students get past the get-to-know-you letters and icebreakers and into the business of school, our students go at it with confidence and comfort knowing they can achieve and that they have the backing of the best teachers in the universe with them. 

Just a regular ol’ 2-day weekend ahead of us here, but plenty on the horizon at the Secondary Campus for next week!
