We presented IAS to the incoming freshmen by setting up a stall where we introduced ourselves and registered the names of interested students who would like to be a part of our society. To make it fun we had a smile poster to make their first smiles at FCC memorable and a world map dart game.
International Affairs Society planned some very interesting and exciting ice breakers and activities for freshmen, which helped them socialize and interact with one another. These included Human Tic Tac Toe, Move If, Speed Networking and Holland Code to help them learn more about themselves and their personalities.
For the Intermediate Society Fair, we registered names of intermediate students who wanted to get involved with IAS and what it has to offer. We gave them a detailed overview about us, the work we hope to do and the missions we hope to accomplish. It was a success!

International Affairs Society, in collaboration with Earth Watch Club, believing in the UN slogan about Climate Change “A race we can win” arranged ‘Climate Week FCC’ in solidarity with Global Climate Strike (20 to 27 Sep) to take the first step on our behalf. Global Climate Strike were to cause awareness about the disturbing climatic changes that are taking place around the globe and to highlight the do’s and don’ts to make the environment better. In FCC there were three events planned, namely, the slogan competition, movie screening and talk on climate change
TED-Ed Student Talks Program supports students in discovering, developing and sharing their ideas in the form of TED-style talks. The talks are not only the brainchild of hours and hours of critical thinking by our students but a spark for the entire community to realize their ideas. The event is prepared in the intention to show our acknowledgment of the importance of education, thought and of course students. The whole ‘club’ included 9 training sessions and then a main event in which all the talks were showcased.

To help people learn with help of the concept of Fun & Learning, IAS held a scavenger hunt on campus with continents and oceans mapped on the institutes map layout. The buildings were continents and the grounds were oceans and teams had to find clues from one to the next. This not only gave participants a geographical insight but also helped them know more about the different cultures, norms and traditions. The winners got a cash prize worth 5000/- so they could have a yum meal anywhere in Lahore!
IAS arranged a clothes donation drive on campus as an act to contribute to the first UN SDG, that is ‘No Poverty’. These clothes were than delivered to the Akhuwat Foundation, who refurbished them, packed them again and made to sure to put these on the backs of those in need.
In the spirit of Christmas, that is to spread peace, love and happiness, IAS arranged a 'Walking Santa' on the last day of fall semester. A Santa that walks all over the campus, knocks doors and distributes gifts randomly.
The Spring Semester was about to start so how could we miss the Freshman Week? IAS had fun and engaging activities for freshmen including their take on the phrase 'Global Citizenship'/
In order to raise awareness for the plight of Kashmiris and be united in our support, IAS will be hosting Kashmir Talks; a trilogy of events to be held every week in February.
Dr Aarfa Syeda Zahra and Dr Nida Kirmani enlightened the audience with the International Women Rights and Gender equality on March 9, 2020. The students took part in this thought provoking event and also interacted with the speakers after the speeches.
