By: Colton Adams

As it comes to the final game of the season, the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs goes against the TCU Horned Frogs with only one loss.  Both teams put up a battle to get to the National Championship Game.  All there is left to do is watch. The Horned Frogs only managed to put 7 points on the board against the Bulldogs defense. The Bulldogs came hard on offense putting up a near record-setting 65 points. The game comes to an end and the Georgia Bulldogs are the NCAA National Football Champs, as they beat TCU in a lopsided game, 65-7.

Snow tubing

by: Thomas Scott

Snow tubing was invented in 1820. We live in the south so we don’t get much snow. You can go to Lake Lanier in the winter which transforms into Snow Island. You can go snow tubing on Blizzard Mountain. Snow tubing is a fun thing. It is like skiing, but on a tube.

The History of Hot Cocoa

by: Skylar Mynatt

I love hot chocolate any time of the year. It doesn’t have to be cold outside for me to ask my mom for a cup of hot chocolate. I sometimes wonder who invented this amazing drink. I researched and found out that the Mayans and Aztecs are credited with inventing hot chocolate thousands of years ago. Their version is a little spicier than the kind you are probably used to drinking. The Mayans and Aztecs would mix the cocoa beans with vanilla to make an energized drink.

Today’s Mexican hot chocolate is made with cinnamon, chilis, and bittersweet chocolate to create a rich but very sweet flavor. American hot chocolate is made with cocoa and/or chocolate and is usually sweeter than Mexican hot chocolate. I don’t know who decided to add marshmallows to this amazing drink, but it was an awesome idea! I love to add whipped cream on top of my hot chocolate, too. What do you like to add to yours?

What is Hygge?

By Carter Morris

Have you ever heard of the word "hygge"?  The word hygge (hoo guh) is a way of life that adds coziness and comfort to your life so that you feel happy and content. Many people use this as a way to spend part of their day with their loved ones and away from the buziness of life. Examples of hygge in the winter would be soft blankets, warm drinks, twinkling lights, and just having some quiet time.  The word hygge came from Danish culture which is in the kingdom of Denmark. Hygge was introduced to the Danes by the old Norwegian around the end of the 18th century.

A: I really love teaching Kindergarten this year! I am more than halfway through my 10th year as a paraprofessional, and I have to say that this is one of the best years in my educational career yet!

Q: What do you like best about your job?

A: Well, I am currently enrolled at college at Gordon State College, earning my teaching degree in Elementary Education through their Parapro-to-Teacher Track program. I just started my second semester last week! My goal is to become an elementary school homeroom teacher once I graduate.

Q: Are there any parts of your job that are hard?

A: Sure there are parts of my job that are hard. That goes with any job, in any profession. I think that it is hard when I see a student who is lacking self-confidence. That is where I come in. It is my job to lift his or her spirits and help them discover that confidence that is within them that sometimes they don’t even know they have. It is there, there are times where it just takes extra dedication and hard work to help him or her find their “Lightbulb” moment.
