Lesson #2 - Aerodynamics
Aerodynamics was inspired by nature. Leonardo da Vinci, Sir George Cayley, and the Wright brothers were just a few of the many innovators who studied the special adaptations of flying creatures before sketching or inventing ideas that helped humans take to the skies. Students will discover how our fascination with flying animals led to key principles of aerodynamics. The lesson includes a teacher guide to help you get ready and a slideshow to use with students. For enrichment, we’ve also added links to extra activities and resources you can explore together.
Investigative Phenomenon - Humans study and copy ideas found in nature to solve problems.
