Step 1: Set up a regular meeting time and place
Step 2: Have student explain their project idea to you verbally
Step 3: Have students find the Personal Project module on Toddle, especially the Process Journal sections where they will post journal responses and forms.
Step 4: Show student the Personal Project Website
Step 5: Revise the Personal Project Student Handbook together for reference about the steps to be followed, deadlines and resources.
Step 6: Start working on the Goal Setting Document. The Goal Setting document is due on October 2.
Step 7: Have students write the Introduction Journal (PP Handbook, Slide 6) in their Process Journal on Toddle.
After the first meeting, write parents (example template) letting them know when your regular meeting time is and reminding of the next due date (Goal Setting Document - October 2)
Step 1: Confirm that the Goal-Setting Document has been successfully uploaded to the Process Journal on Toddle.
Step 2: Review Goal-Setting Document with student. Confirm Learning and Product Goals. Evaluate research in the Goal-Setting Document to determine if any necessary sources are missing. Evaluate research to determine whether all research questions have been answered.
Step 3: Have students write a journal prompt in the Process Journal on Toddle using the journal questions (Journal Prompt: Goal Setting) in the FCAQ Student Handbook PP.
Step 4: Start working on the Planning Document. The Planning Document is due on October 17.
Step 5: Once the student has finished the information on Goal-Setting and Planning Documents with the Supervisors confirmation, they can write this information into the Toddle Planning Sections (Title and Learning goals, Product Goals, Project Plan).
Step 6: If there is time remaining, review the rubric in the Assessment section.

Vouch for the authenticity of your student’s work
Grade the final Process Journal, Product, and Report and take part in internal standardization of marks
It is up to you to demonstrate an appropriate level of organizational skills and time management. If you miss a meeting with your supervisor or are not keeping up with your work, the following steps will be followed:
Supervisor makes direct contact with the student.
Supervisor e-mails parents & CC's in MYP Coordinator.
Supervisor contacts the parents.
Conference with Student, Supervisor and MYP Coordinator. This will be arranged by the Supervisor.
Letter home from the MYP Coordinator requesting parents to attend a conference with Supervisor, Student, & MYP Coordinator.
If your project is not completed to standards by the final due date, the student will complete an Academic Reinforcement Program or stay for Summer School to work on your project with the MYP Coordinator.
