My name is Elyse Overton and I am the Behavior Interventionist at Millcreek this year. This will be my 12th year in education. I taught in a middle school classroom for 5 years, at the college level for 5 years and the last two years in Fayette County dealing strictly with behaviors. I’ve spent the last two years diving into behaviors and restorative practices, working hard to understand how we can begin to mold students into the outstanding young adults they can become. I helped Winburn Middle School implement the newly named RESET program and saw so much positive change happen with just simple conversations and intentionality. I truly believe that if we set the bar high and help students learn to own their actions at a young age, then we can help them restore relationships and educational gaps simultaneously. I’m so excited to partner with each of you and help grow our young people into the true stars they can be.
