Pear Deck

Pear Deck is a tool that works with both Google Classroom and Canvas and allows teachers to take their Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and make them interactive to help engage students for either live or self-paced instruction. (It does lots of other things too.) Based on teacher and school request and a generous offer from Pear Deck, we are able to give all teachers a full paid license to Pear Deck for this school year!

How do I access it? https://app.peardeck.com/home/

Simply use your FCPS account (either Google or Microsoft depending on what presentation tool you use) to login to the Pear Deck website.

Where can I learn about Pear Deck?

Living training opportunities are coming the week of Sept. 21st and we will also be adding resources to our http://bit.ly/fcpsnti site. You can also check out the Pear Deck short, skill-specific videos. More information will be coming soon about Google Classroom and Canvas integrations.

What if I just can’t think about this right now?

That’s totally OK! This is an optional tool. You are welcome to try it out anytime this year, or not. But if you want help at any time, you can always reach out to the OIT team.
