Does using a college nickname and the willingness to wear a dinosaur costume seem like the way to encourage blended learning? No? Well, how about classroom walkthroughs and digital learning assessment instrument for a middle or high school DLC? Take your "Q" and let's talk about how to sell, assess, and celebrate teachers who are integrating technology tools!

Tip #1 Growth Mindset

CHALK UP:

Make a website. Get a Google Calendar. Create a Shared Drive. Get on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for resources and help. Use a bit.ly. Get certified. Send out information through the technology you are trying to integrate! Ask questions!

Rack It Up:

  • Get everyone together - emphasis PD
    • Have a new teacher PD separate from larger PD
  • Discuss the "why" of technology integration.
  • Classroom management is key!
  • Do we have a technology integration policy?
  • Put together 5 year plan - what does a teacher "look like" at your school?
    • Pick a few initiatives each year.

Tip #3 Q Top 10 Digital Playlist

And...Break:

Everyone scatters! Support your teachers, get into classrooms, document and shout out!

The Bank Shot:

Using the "Cushion" to make the shot - use other events/resources to sell the technology!

  • Digital Learning Day
  • Hour of Code event
  • Student groups: STLP, GWC, students interested in teaching, peer tutors
    • BTW teachers love free food and jeans!
Tip #2 Selling Tech

The Pocket:

Location, Location, Location - Choosing Your Pocket

  • Digital door signs
  • Digital badges
  • Shout out your teachers - stop shouting already!
  • Again with the walkthroughs (get you a master key)!
Thank you for attending - I will share anything with you! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

Eight Ball:

Don't sink it - get your admin trained and on board. Communicate with parents about blended learning.
