We are pleased to share that the 2027–28 FAFSA form is now officially open.
Most students can complete their section in 12 minutes or less, and they can see their results, including Federal Pell Grant eligibility and their Student Aid Index, immediately after submitting the form. Students can now complete the form earlier than ever, ahead of the traditional Oct. 1 release date.

When is the deadline to submit the 2027-28 FAFSA form?
The federal deadline to submit the 2027-28 FAFSA form is June 30, 2028. State and college deadlines are often much earlier, in winter/spring 2027. Many state grants and institutional financial aid funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We strongly encourage students to submit the FAFSA form as early as possible.
