One team per event.
Minecraft: 2-6 students. Must qualify for the Spring.
Mario Kart: 4 students
Super Smash Bros: 3 students
Each team should be comprised of different students to ensure more kids can compete. A student may serve as a sub on another team.
If not all students are present for competition and a sub is not available, team will automatically forfeit. A friendly competition can occur in its place but forfeiting team will automatically be disqualified from competition.
School must compete in at least 2 out of the 3 game titles.
Elementary: Personal controllers are NOT allowed for Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. Controllers may be brought for Minecraft.
To better prepare our students for Middle and High School competitions, coaches will be required to follow "Match" Rules:
Coaching during game play will not be permitted. Coaches may have TWO 30 second timeouts in between games per match. Timeouts should not impede the progress of the match.
Coaches are seated/standing in the viewing area. They are not allowed to be next to their team during game play.
Respectfully cheer on your team and maintain a model of sportsmanship and integrity.
Notify staff immediately if an issue with a controller arises.
Your competition will take place on your normally scheduled meeting date.
