The FDMCC held its first official meeting at Father Dueñas Memorial School with thirteen founding members. The club introduced its mission to promote Micronesian culture and began planning its first public appearance at Micronesian Day. Members also started the initial designs for official FDMCC polo shirts and merchandise to represent the club.
Seven members of the FDMCC attended Micronesian Day at the University of Guam, marking the club’s first cultural outing. Members watched traditional island performances, interacted with cultural groups, and even tried sakau (kava), a traditional herbal drink shared in parts of Micronesia. This event was meaningful as it allowed students to explore new cultural traditions and experience the diversity of Micronesia firsthand.
