Memorial:

In Manston park there is a memorial highlighting the barnbow lasses and the very important work they did. It is in a memorial garden where the factory once stood.

Salary:

Ammunition workers would take home £3 per day but the women who handled the shells and explosives brought home £10-£12 for their dangerous work.

Shifts: 

They had to work long, hard hours for up to 24 hours for three days, having to wake up early and they barely had enough time to rest. They often had only milk for breakfast.
