What is 16+?
At Farr, we support every student to help them achieve their post-school aspirations. As early as S1, we get you thinking about your goals and what you need to help to reach them. In your lessons and school activities, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop your transferable skills
Record your achievements
Engage with work experience
Speak with a careers adviser from SDS throughout your school career
Everyone is different. We want to help you on the path that is right for you. That can include:
Employment
Volunteering
College
University
Modern apprenticeship
Graduate apprenticeship
We offer a broad range of subjects at Farr to make sure you are able to study subjects that are useful and relevant to your interests and future careers. The presentation below explains how your subjects work S1 to S6, and how levels such as National 5 and Higher relate to future courses you may choose to study.
Farr High School and Highland Council are committed to ensuring students have access to the right courses for them. This includes online courses via the Highland Virtual Academy and College Link courses at the UHI Centre in Thurso. Students interested in these courses should let Mrs. Moseley know to ensure you are timetabled correctly.
