Finding Other Useful Books

Using the online Accessit catalogue, you can search the Subject Search to find more resources, or use the search bar to look for keywords.

In the Library, Non-fiction books (and some literature) are often arranged using the Dewey Decimal Classification system, using numbers to arrange them by subject. In the college we use the system within key topic areas for each subject. In many university libraries, all books will be found shelved by Dewey Decimal alone. Below is a list of useful number classes for this subject.

Student Art Guide - This website helps students understand what is key in A level Art. It is a worldwide based site, so some differences do occur but is a brilliant additional resource for guidance.

Art Daily - A daily news website for art. A useful site for finding out what is happening in the world of art.

Artist A Day - An exciting range of diverse artists to be explored. The website is such that artists can be accessed by searching different categories.

Artists & Illustrators Magazine - This online magazine is packed full of tutorials that can really help guide students.

Wikiart - This website is a great resource for a broad range of artists in different genres and countries. Gives students access to artworks that are not on display, and not as easy to find on the internet.
