Project Lead The Way (PLTW) / PLTW Engineering Overview:
Project Lead the Way is a not for profit organization focused on the development of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) pathways/curriculums for students Kindergarten through High School. PLTW Engineering is one of these pathways which is specifically designed for High School Students and allows students to explore engineering and problem solving using a hands-on approach.
PLTW’s activities-, project-, and problem-based (APB) learning approach centers on hands-on, real-world projects that help students understand how the information and skills they are learning in the classroom may be applied in everyday life. The APB based learning approach scaffolds student learning, building the required skill sets to apply towards an open-ended design problem.
