Universal Pre-K

UNIVERSAL PRE KINDERGARTEN 2024-2025

We are accepting registration applications for district children who will be four years old by December 1, 2024, and will be eligible to enter kindergarten in September 2025.

Pre-Kindergarten, funded completely by a New York State Grant, will begin in September at no cost to the family. We plan on offering both full-day and half-day classes that are housed in District elementary schools. Please see our FAQ document on the District website for more detailed information. Classes MUST be attended Monday through Friday. Transportation to and from the program WILL NOT be provided by the district. There is no before or after care offered for UPK students.

To be eligible to enter the lottery, you must complete our online applications with the school district by Thursday, March 7, 2024. 

You can apply for both programs.

If you have no online access, you can request a paper application by emailing upk@farmingdaleschools.org or calling 516-434-5799.

Registration applications will be accepted through this form only, or you can request a paper application by emailing upk@farmingdaleschools.org. No walk-in registrations will be accepted. The application is due no later than March 7, 2024.

We will hold a lottery on March 19, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. for the full-day program. 

We will hold a lottery on March 25, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. for the half-day program.

Please note -- Universal Pre-Kindergarten is dependent on the inclusion in the state budget.
