Universal Pre Kindergarten

Farmingdale School district is offering full-day Universal Pre Kindergarten at NO cost to the families of the Farmingdale School District in 2026-2027.  This program is completely funded by a New York State Grant.  Your child MUST be registered in the district through student registration in order for them to be eligible to be entered into our lottery system and must be four years old by December 1, 2026 making them eligible to enter kindergarten in September 2027.  All registered children will be eligible/entered into the lottery.  ***All students must be registered with the district by Tuesday, February 24th to be guaranteed eligibility for the lottery.  Anyone who registers after February 24, 2026, will be put on a separate waitlist.  Once we go through the lottery waitlist, we will begin to utilize the late registration waitlist. ***

All classes are currently housed in all four of our elementary schools.  Please see our FAQ document on the District website for more detailed information. Classes MUST be attended Monday through Friday. Transportation to and from the program WILL NOT be provided by the district.
