A Season for the Record Books.

The 2023 season was one to remember for Franklin & Marshall Women's Lacrosse. The Diplomats finished 18-5 overall and 8-1 against Centennial Conference opponents to lock up the No. 2 seed in the CC Tournament. F&M knocked off top-seeded Gettysburg, 15-14, to win the program's ninth CC Championship. With the win, the Diplomats qualified for their 27th NCAA Tournament appearance. F&M beat Roanoke, Denison, and Pomona-Pitzer to advance to its 12th-ever Final Four. 

During the 2023 season, F&M tallied seven All-CC selections, four All-Region honorees, and five All-Americans. Maddy Birch was also selected to play in the IWLCA Senior All-Star game after a 2023 campaign where she posted 44 goals and 18 assists. 

Game Highlights

• F&M tallied a record 40 points in the 23-4 win over Ursinus (4/8).

• The Diplomats downed six nationally-ranked opponents in 2023.

• Lydia Cassilly scored five goals in the 19-11 win over No. 13 Messiah (3/1). The following week, Cassilly scored four goals, including the game-winner in the 12-10 victory over No. 12 York (Pa.) (3/4).

• Madison Bray tallied three ground balls, three draw controls, and one caused turnover in the 21-10 win over Washington College (4/15) to be named CC Defensive Player of the Week.

• Gillian Brennan scored four goals, including the game-winner in the 15-14 win over Gettysburg in the CC Championship game (5/7).
