Last Week
In three home games last week, the Diplomats earned wins over Penn State Berks and Ursinus, but settled for a 1-1 tie against No. 22 McDaniel. In the win over the Nittany Lions on Monday, the Diplomats scored three second-half goals to cruise past Penn State Berks.
F&M then faced a tough opponent in No. 22 McDaniel on Saturday, but the Diplomats struck first off a Dahlia Pepe goal in the 21st minute. However, the Green Terror answered with a goal in the 60th to tie the game at 1-1.
In two games, Pepe recorded two goals and one assist to be named CC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Pepe also became the second Diplomat this season to earn the honor after Kate Boujoukos was named CC Offensive Player of the Week in late September.
The Diplomats added another conference win on Tuesday when it welcomed Ursinus to Tylus Field. Kate Boujoukos found Sophie Koziol in front of a wide-open net during the 54th minute for the game-winning score. The hosts also fired 22 shot attempts with 12 shots on target in the game.
Last Time vs. Muhlenberg
The Diplomats shutout Muhlenberg, 3-0, to extend its unbeaten streak to four games in October of the 2023 season. Bri Skidmore '24 led the F&M offense with one goal and one assist to solidify herself for CC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Zoe Warne and Eileen Harvey also tallied goals in the win. Muhlenberg Team Preview
The Mules come into Friday's contest looking for their first CC win of the season after dropping games to Dickinson, Haverford, Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore. Muhlenberg also tied Gettysburg, 1-1, in last Saturday's matchup. Ivy Dias leads the team with three goals, while Anna May holds the team-high in assists with two so far this season. Goalkeeper Megan Stairs sports a goals-against average of 2.80 and a save percentage of 81.3 percent.
