The Franklin & Marshall volleyball team (18-6, 8-2 CC) looks to avenge last season's defeat in the Centennial Conference Championship match as it heads into this year's conference tournament. With 18 wins in the regular season, F&M posted its highest win total since 2019. Along the way, multiple Diplomats reached personal milestones, including Hannah McCarthy, who became the 11th player in program history to reach 1,000 career assists, and Meredith Mangum, who became the 22nd player in program history to surpass 1,000 career digs. 

Centennial Conference Tournament Ticket Information

The Centennial Conference has announced that Hudl will serve as the ticket provider for CC championship events beginning in the fall of 2023.  Hudl will give event attendees the ability to purchase tickets online for each round of the Centennial postseason beginning with field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball this fall. Centennial fans will be able to find all scheduled postseason events on the Centennial ticketing homepage and quickly purchase tickets to receive via email. Fans will then use their smartphone to gain access at championship events through a simple and secure ticket validation process.  Below are the ticket prices for each round of the postseason:

• Adults - $10

• Students (Age 6 through High School) - $5

• Senior Citizens - $5

• College Students, Faculty & Staff of Centennial Schools - FREE

• Children 5 and Under - FREE

Last Week

In its regular season home finale, F&M  swept McDaniel at the Mayser Center. Gianna Mangiamele, Sydney Levins and Rei Baker each recorded eight kills, while Meredith Mangum tallied 15 digs to eclipse 1,000 in her career. It was the 12th sweep of the season for the Diplomats and the sixth in conference play. 

F&M then closed out the season with a tri-match hosted by Johns Hopkins. In its first contest of the day, the Diplomats dropped a 3-1 decision to the No. 9 Blue Jays. Though F&M claimed the first set of the tilt, Johns Hopkins responded by winning the follow three frames. Taking on Shenandoah shortly after, the Diplomats cruised to a sweep of the Hornets behind 13 Mangiamele kills. 

Muhlenberg Team Preview

Ending the season with back-to-back road matches, the Mules were swept by Haverford before defeating Dickinson in four sets in the final contest of the season. The team ended the season with a 14-10 record, marking a one win improvement from last season. This year's tournament matchup with the Diplomats marks back-to-back seasons in which the two sides will face each other in the first round of the bracket. In 2022, F&M swept Muhlenberg to move on to the semi-finals. 

Both Christina Marcin and Esmae Oehler reached north of 200 kills this season, with Marcin's 245 kills leading the team and ranking sixth in the conference. Defensively, Alyssa Faville was one of the best liberos in the country, ranking top-20 in the nation in digs per set with 5.7. In total, Faville tallied 483 digs, topping the Centennial Conference.
