The No. 21 Franklin & Marshall field hockey team (10-7, 8-2 CC), heads into its second straight Centennial Conference tournament looking to clinch a berth in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2019. The Diplomats will begin their postseason campaign by hosting six seed Ursinus on Tuesday night. 

Centennial Conference Tournament Ticket Information

The Centennial Conference has announced that Hudl will serve as the ticket provider for CC championship events beginning in the fall of 2023.  Hudl will give event attendees the ability to purchase tickets online for each round of the Centennial postseason beginning with field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball this fall. Centennial fans will be able to find all scheduled postseason events on the Centennial ticketing homepage and quickly purchase tickets to receive via email. Fans will then use their smartphone to gain access at championship events through a simple and secure ticket validation process.  Below are the ticket prices for each round of the postseason:

• Adults - $10

• Students (Age 6 through High School) - $5

• Senior Citizens - $5

• College Students, Faculty & Staff of Centennial Schools - FREE

• Children 5 and Under - FREE

Last Week

F&M cruised past McDaniel, 5-0, behind multi-goal games from Sophie Carroll and Jessica Miller, before falling to No. 3 Johns Hopkins, 2-1, in a closely fought battle. 

Wednesday's defeat of the Green Terror marked the third time this season that the Diplomats scored five goals in a game and the eighth shutout of the year. Additionally, Darby Klopp registered a career-high three assists in the win. It was also the second multi-goal game for Miller this season.

Against the Blue Jays, F&M evened the score after falling behind 1-0, but Johns Hopkins managed to outlast the Diplomats with a game winner by Sydney DelBello. The loss dropped F&M from the two seed to three, setting up its matchup with Ursinus. 

Ursinus Team Preview

The Bears closed out conference play with a 4-0 defeat to Bryn Mawr on Wednesday before a 3-2 win over Ithaca in their regular season finale on Saturday.  The loss to the Owls led to Ursinus falling to the six seed in the conference tournament. as the Bears lost four of their final six conference games. 

Leading the way for Ursinus has been Mary Lauren Franz, who has registered 10 goals this year, good for third in the conference. She has totaled four multi-goal games and five game winners this season, including this past weekend against the Bombers, in which her second goal led to a win for the Bears. In the cage, Adrianna Palladinetti has made the third-most saves in the conference this year with 77, and has maintained a GAA of 1.48.  However, as a team, Ursinus has held just one team scoreless this season.
