The ninth-ranked Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (11-1-4, 6-0-2 CC) finishes the regular season on the road at No. 15 Johns Hopkins (11-0-5, 5-0-3 CC) Saturday at noon.
Last Week
F&M secured a spot in the CC playoffs with a 1-0 victory over Haverford Tuesday afternoon. Adam Green recorded the game-winning goal in the 57th minute of the match for his first score of the season. Nolan Booth made three saves in the contest. Read the recap here.
The Diplomats went on to defeat Ursinus 2-0 Friday evening on Senior night. Koa Kaliebe tallied three points (one goal, one assist) in the game. Shay Adamson scored his second goal of the fall in the win. F&M outshot Ursinus 20-6 in the contest. Read the recap here.
Last Time
Last season, Franklin & Marshall downed Johns Hopkins 2-0 on the Diplomats' Senior Day. Koa Kaliebe and Oscar Horwitz scored two second half goals to push the Diplomats past the Blue Jays. Isaac Mintz and Kane Feudtner '21 each tallied an assist in the win. Read the recap here.
Johns Hopkins Team Preview
The No. 15 Blue Jays have tied their last two matches against Dickinson and Muhlenberg. JHU has not lost a game all season. Axel Whamond leads JHU in points (13) and goals (six) this season. Goalkeeper Alex Morgret leads the CC with a 0.38 goals-against average and a save percentage of 87.5 percent. Morgret is tied for most shutouts in the nation with 10 this fall.
October is the month-long philanthropic athletics event that supports the Diplomat tradition of excellence. In each of my first two years we have set new Raise Our Game records for both total donors and dollars raised. This year, our goal is 2,000 donors and $400,000.
